The Sexy Sermon

Find a quiet place and work through these questions yourself, and/or work through them with a friend, family member, or your life group.

  1. What or how were you taught about sex growing up? What role did your parents, church, school, or culture play in that? Do you feel like it’s led you to a healthy approach to sex?
  2. What examples can you think of where culture baits us to the line of moral disaster, and then berates us for crossing over the line?
  3. Think about a moral mistake you’ve made (or came close to making)—what series of smaller, unwise decisions led you to that?
  4. What decisions can you make now, or commitments can you make now, that will help you be wise when it comes to sex?
